R&H Truck Parts and Service

R&H Truck Parts and Service is a full-service parts and repair shop for all makes and models of trucks and large vehicles. It’s building has been a staple in Flemington along Route 31 since 1994 and owned and operated by Bill Pitchfork and Steve Roth since 2016.

Problem

When Bill and Steve purchased the business they knew they had to do something about the looming electric bills of an average of $18,000 per year. With growth and expansion in mind, they wanted to put that money towards other avenues such as marketing and advertising.

Solution

Green Power Energy installed a high efficiency SunPower solar system that offset the company’s everyday energy costs. By removing the cost of electricity, it allowed the team to focus on business development and expansion.

Result

R&H took advantage of the 30% solar tax credit ITC and created an additional source of revenue from their SRECs (Solar Renewable Energy Certificates). Between the electric savings and the incentives, they recuperated 50% of their solar investment in year one alone!
